"Hello,
I am reaching out to see if you are able to donate any items for our EOD Memorial Auction Event. We are stationed in Rota, Spain (don’t worry shipping is through the USPS) and because of our geographic location most of us cannot make the EOD Memorial in Destin, Florida. So, we started our own EOD Memorial in Spain. In the previous four EOD Memorials we have raised $178,000, for the EOD Warrior Foundation (EODWF) and Navy Special Operations Foundation (NSOF). I am beginning to plan for our auction this year, slated July 25th. Our format will be the same as previous EOD Memorials with a raffle, silent auction, and auction. As always, all proceeds go to EODWF and NSOF. Below is a brief description of each foundation.
EOD Warrior Foundation (EODWF) serves the EOD Community by providing financial assistance and support to Active, Reserve and National Guard, Retired, and Veteran EOD Technicians and their families. Additional services include moral and welfare events, peer-to-peer support, educational programs, connection to resources, care of the EOD Memorial, and sustained contact with our EOD warriors and their families. Navy Special Operations Foundation (NSOF) focuses on four pillars of support: Warrior Care, Youth Programs, Community Presence, and Transition Assistance. Warrior Care consists of urgent financial assistance; PTSD, TBI, and Resiliency Programs; and Gold Star and Wounded Warrior Care. Youth Programs consists of helping families reconnect after deployments, NSOF kids day, and youth experiences. Community Presence consists of making sure our fallen are not forgotten, Command Support, and Community Awareness. Transition Assistance helps service members with the transition into civilian life.
